Start with the right Del Mar card
Open the Del Mar analysis tool and check the date displayed on the loaded card. The loader looks for an eligible posted card; a posted future card is not today's racing. On non-racing days, do not reinterpret a prior card as current. The official track remains the authority for the program and any changes.
A race number alone is not an identity. Confirm track, calendar date, race number, surface, distance and the active runners. Program numbers identify betting interests; do not assume they are interchangeable with gate positions after changes.
Entry Card is not Live Odds
An official card can supply entries and morning-line prices without supplying the current tote or exact class and recent-speed figures. In GAMELIN's Entry Card mode, a projected winner is a ranking to investigate, not permission to wager. The monetary decision remains PASS. Current prices can improve the market read, but do not magically supply missing figures.
Recheck three things near post
The field: verify scratches against the track or your operator. The race: check surface and distance rather than relying on an earlier program. The price: compare the displayed odds and their observation time with the current board. A favorable opinion at one price can become an unattractive wager at another.
