What makes a result prospective
A decision must be committed before scheduled post time with the race identity, source observation time, frozen model version, data mode, field hash, projected winner and explicit BET or PASS. Synthetic samples, historical reruns and decisions registered after post are excluded.
Evidence stages and their boundaries
The historical backtest and its +10.6% ROI across the separately reported 6,559-race validation are historical research, not prospective performance. A browser candidate export is a proposal for review, not a registered race. A Race Lab hypothetical changes only a displayed price scenario and is never registered. A registered race contains an immutable pre-race BET or PASS and its original observed values; an unsettled record remains pending. An official settlement is a separate later record tied to that pre-race hash. A result without a pre-race registration is never backfilled.
The original call cannot be rewritten
Each pre-race JSON record is append-only. Its SHA-256 fingerprint is calculated from the original file. After the official result exists, a separate settlement record must reference that exact file and fingerprint. A correction cannot silently replace a losing call.

Evidence classes stay separate
Canonical Full Figures, complete TVG Source, partial TVG Provisional and informational PASS records are never blended into one performance claim. Source-native averages do not inherit the historical claim attached to the canonical feature definition.

Frozen operating rules
- Model version: v7.0 Conviction Index.
- At most one primary WIN BET per race; otherwise PASS.
- One unit is the normalized evaluation unit, not a user staking instruction.
- V2 freezes coverage, race time zone, evidence class and decision policy before post.
- Pre-race and settlement records remain separate.
- Incomplete or unverifiable race identity is excluded rather than repaired after the result.
This ledger measures what GAMELIN actually said before a race. It does not guarantee future returns, reproduce licensed raw racing data or convert historical research into a live result.
