Cost equals combinations times base stake
Select a box type, the number of distinct betting interests, and the amount per combination. The calculator counts all distinct orders for exactas, trifectas and superfectas, or unordered pairs for a quinella. It does not build part wheels or account for coupled-entry rules.
A small change in coverage can multiply cost
A four-selection trifecta box contains 24 combinations. At a $0.50 base it costs $12. A five-selection box contains 60 and costs $30 at the same base. These examples show arithmetic, not a recommendation to use either ticket. Some tracks do not offer every type or base amount shown.
The calculator cannot tell you the payout
Price depends on the relevant pool and the winning combination, not just how many selections you made. Win odds do not determine an exacta, quinella, trifecta or superfecta payoff. More combinations do not prove better value.
Check the actual wagering rules
