Start with a race: Open the free GAMELIN analyzer. Once a field is loaded, the Race Lab appears beneath the actual race call. For a current race, start with the live Race Finder; an official card and source date must still be checked before analysis.

What can I change in the Lab?

Choose an eligible runner and enter a hypothetical WIN price in fractional form such as 5/2 or decimal form such as 3.50. Preset buttons make it quick to explore even money, 2/1, 5/1 and 10/1. The Lab holds the model probability from that single browser read fixed while it calculates the implied probability, the arithmetic break-even price and the expected return per $1 before costs. For a runner at a fixed 25% estimate, the arithmetic break-even price is 3/1. At 5/2 the illustrative expected return is -12.5%; at 4/1 it is +25%. These examples are arithmetic, not a GAMELIN race pick.

What does not change?

The original projected winner and money decision remain in the race call. Moving the hypothetical price does not refresh the field, rerun the model, update actual tote odds or turn a PASS into a BET. GAMELIN may select a wager horse different from its projected winner; the panel labels both. Positive arithmetic alone is not enough for a qualified wager. The actual gate also depends on evidence coverage, source freshness, conviction and other checks explained in Methodology. A market-only fallback, synthetic demo or entry-card morning-line read does not receive an independent fair-price scenario.

Can I share a scenario?

The copy action includes the hypothetical label and the original decision. It links to this guide, not to a saved copy of the race. The interactive read lives in your browser and can change when the source or field changes. A copied scenario is not a timestamped pre-race prediction or evidence that a price was available to wager. See the Forward Test for actual registered decisions and separately checked results.

How is this different from the fair-odds calculator?

The fair-odds calculator begins with a probability you supply. The Race Lab begins with the probability from a loaded GAMELIN race read and keeps its source mode visible. Both help explain price sensitivity. Neither accepts a wager or promises a return. Recheck current prices and scratches at the official source before any real decision.
