How this calculator works

For fractional odds A/B, decimal odds are 1 + A/B. Multiply decimal odds by your example stake to get the total winning return; subtract the stake to get profit. Raw implied probability is 100 divided by decimal odds. This calculation uses your price input, not live market data.

Example: 5/2 with a $2 stake

Decimal odds are 3.50. A winning return at that unchanged price is $7 total, including $5 profit and the original $2 stake. Raw implied probability is about 28.57%. A losing win bet loses the $2 stake. The initial values are an arithmetic demonstration, not a suggested wager.

What is not included

The result is not an official payoff. Final pari-mutuel odds can move, and breakage, dead heats, fees, taxes or other settlement adjustments are not modeled. This is a win-price calculator, not a place, show or exotic-payout calculator.

Implied probability is not model probability

Price alone does not tell you the true chance of winning. The raw implied figure here is also not GAMELIN's field-normalized market probability. Read the odds guide for that distinction, or use fair odds to explore an explicit probability assumption.
