These are Keeneland's reported winners, not reconstructed GAMELIN picks. A Challenge berth is not a final Breeders’ Cup entry. Indian Summer has no Challenge designation in Keeneland's checked 2026 stakes schedule.

Which Fall Stars races lead to which championship?
The Challenge Series awards a qualifying berth in a designated championship division. It does not establish that the winner will be an official October 30–31 starter, fit the final field, or be GAMELIN's projected winner. Use the division links to compare race conditions and see what information is still pending.
| Date | Fall Stars race | Championship path |
|---|---|---|
| October 2 | Darley Alcibiades, juvenile fillies on dirt | Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies |
| October 2 | Jessamine, juvenile fillies on turf | Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf |
| October 2 | Stoll Keenon Ogden Phoenix, dirt sprint | Breeders’ Cup Sprint |
| October 3 | Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity, juveniles on dirt | Breeders’ Cup Juvenile |
| October 3 | Coolmore Turf Mile, older turf milers | Breeders’ Cup Mile |
| October 3 | Thoroughbred Club of America, fillies and mares sprinting on dirt | Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint |
| October 4 | Castle & Key Bourbon, juveniles on turf | Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf |
| October 4 | Juddmonte Spinster, older fillies and mares on dirt | Breeders’ Cup Distaff |
The eight rows reflect the official Challenge schedule as checked October 1. A qualifying race is separate from the championship race: the October weekend informs the road to Keeneland, while pre-entry and final entries determine the later field. See the full 14-race Breeders’ Cup hub for official information checkpoints.
What to examine on October 2–4
Friday's two juvenile filly races separate dirt from turf. Thin two-year-old histories can make comparisons fragile; a decisive prep result does not fill in missing figures or make a different surface interchangeable. The Phoenix is a six-furlong dirt sprint, so check whether several runners contest the same early position and whether the quoted price is still current.
Saturday's Breeders’ Futurity tests juvenile dirt-route context, while the Turf Mile asks a different pace-and-trip question on grass. The Thoroughbred Club of America feeds the Filly & Mare Sprint division; do not blend that six-and-one-half-furlong dirt profile with the open Sprint or a turf sprint merely because each is called a sprint.
Sunday's Bourbon is a juvenile turf route; the Spinster is an older filly-and-mare dirt route. A horse's prep result is useful context but does not substitute for the eventual championship's field, post, condition or market. The Keeneland track guide explains the venue and exact-card checks.
Run an eligible Keeneland race, then recheck the price
- Verify the date, track, race number, surface and active entries with Keeneland's official racing information.
- Use the GAMELIN Race Finder only when that exact race appears in the supported feed; otherwise the official card remains the source. Do not substitute another track or date.
- Read the displayed data mode and coverage. An entry card or morning line alone cannot qualify a money decision.
- Distinguish the model's projected winner from BET/PASS. Complete-field evidence, current odds and the decision gate matter; PASS is a valid outcome.
After a race, use the official Challenge schedule for the recorded winner. Do not treat this page's pre-race schedule as a results table or a timestamped GAMELIN recommendation. The forward test contains only actual registered pre-race decisions and separate settlements.
California and Kentucky feed the same divisions
The Santa Anita qualifying path maps seven California stakes to their divisions. For example, the American Pharoah and the Breeders’ Futurity both point toward the Juvenile; the Oak Leaf and Alcibiades both point toward Juvenile Fillies. They remain separate races with separate fields and surfaces to verify. A cross-track comparison is a research question, never a preselected ticket.
